MAC is an acronym for the Multicultural Association of Canberra. It started with the following objectives along with GOPIO, Canberra.
To promote understanding and appreciation of Indian origin and various cultures among the multicultural community in the Australian Capital Territory
To promote fraternity and comradeship between the Indian members and the local community
To help migrants coming into ACT and its surroundings to settle quickly and develop contacts with the local community
To provide support to Indian and other vulnerable groups of a multicultural community
